Taking a US Fabrication Company to China

Posted on June 26, 2013

I’ve spent a good deal of the past year helping Asian companies find access to foreign investment and capital to grow their businesses in local markets and in assisting foreign PE firms with various exits from their portfolio companies and other ventures in the region.  More recently, I’ve had the privilege to begin assisting US corporates, including a large US-based fabrication and design company with setting-up its Asian operations and establishing an entry strategy into China.  As we are in the early stages of this effort, much of our energies are focused on identifying key partners, in the design of their China related venture and in navigating the myriad of Chinese related regulations and business practices – not the least of which is working on safeguards for the company’s IP.
